Residency

I recorded a soundtrack for a short film that my wife Dawn Hartley created for her Dancebase R&D residency. She asked all of the dancers who would have been joining her in the studio to film themselves at home, following some choreographic tasks. Dawn then edited together the footage everyone sent. The result is certainly a document of the lockdown experience we have all gone through. I tried to relflect this in the music, starting in quite a dark and frustrated place and opening out as the video progresses. The term residency has a bit of a double meaning in these times as it was made when everyone involved was very much resident in their own homes!
