There is actually another sign just out of shot telling all visitors to John O Groats that they are compelled to take a photo like this or they will not be allowed to leave. Given the weather conditions all of Shooglenifty quickly complied. We had just returned from our epic sea voyage in order to play in the Sound Archive in Kirkwall. Actually the crossing on the way there was a bit wilder. We had played in Lyth Arts Centre the day before where they had their first ever standing gig. Both gigs were well received and we even got Garry's cousin Douglas up to play A Whisky Kiss.
