The light woke me up very early today. I am looking out across the Tay from Newburgh. The river is blue and gold from the reflections in the sky.
I will take a photo, but it never quite captures what it is like actually looking at it.
I have been working on ideas for a new project called Memory Paths. I want to explore ways of creating music from experiences of walking through landscape and translating the experience into music. I feel that there is a parallel between the journey through a gig and a path through a landscape. There have been many tunes written, that have been devoted to journeys of all kinds. I have got as far as a tune before, but a whole gig would be quite something.
